This year’s strawberry crop
is bursting with sweetness

Go ahead, pick one.
Franklin County farms are overflowing with strawberries, and while the fruits ripen, growers and the county are preparing for the Strawberry Festival.
The 3rd annual event will be Friday, May 19, at Shannon Village Shopping Center in Louisburg and marks this year’s opening of the Farmers Market.
Strawberries are the earliest product available at the market, Cedric Jones, director of the Cooperative Extension, said.

BUNN -- Tuesday’s postseason matchup between Bunn and North Johnston boasted a little bit of everything that makes soccer a pleasurable spectator sport.
