Woman succumbs to smoke
FRANKLINTON - An elderly town woman died last week after being overcome by smoke.
According to investigators, Patricia Major, 71, of Green Hill Road, was burning brush and doing yard work around her house the afternoon of Nov. 14 when the fire apparently got out of control.
