YOUNGSVILLE ­— Developers, builders, designers, and vendors are joining to raise money for leukemia and lymphoma research by building a spec home in a new subdivision.
The multimillion-dollar, energy-efficient lakeside Tuscan villa, “Casa Lucca,” is being built by Bost Custom Homes in the new Crescent Communities subdivision Hidden Lake. It will be featured in the 2007 Parade of Homes.

Public offered chance to comment on airport, hub development area
County staff and officials are soliciting input on plans for development surrounding the airport and an industrial development hub.
The county’s planning and management staff decided earlier this year that it needs to prevent residential development from encroaching upon the Franklin County Regional Airport as well as 250 adjacent acres of an industrial site.

The Franklin County Volunteers in Medicine Clinic is doing well and looks toward the future with even greater expectations.
The free clinic, which opened in January 2005, is currently open four nights per month for medical visits, with volunteer doctors providing all medical services, and a full-time mid-level provider is on the way.

During a week-long renovation from July 1 to July 7, all of the floors and carpets were replaced in the restaurant, and a new salad bar was put in to replace the old one, assistant manager Holly Hester said Monday.
