Breaking News: Ingram leaving county schools
Franklin County School Superintendent Dr. Eddie Ingram will retire effective July 1, and  has accepted the position of Superintendent for Darlington County Schools in Darlington, South Carolina.
He will begin his new post on Monday, July 15.
Ingram has been superintendent of Franklin County schools since October, 2009.  He served as the interim superintendent from July until October of that year.

OBITUARIES

ROSA M. SHAW
WENDELL - Elder Rosa M. Shaw, 65, died Thursday, June 20, 2013. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, June 25, at 1 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church in Rolesville. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Zebulon.

SHERRY P. CARPENTER
CASTALIA – Sherry Parrish Carpenter, 57, died Wednesday evening, June 19, 2013. A graveside service was held Saturday, June 22, at Red Bud Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Gary Shugart officiating.
