Breaking News: Piper named acting superintendent of schools
Breaking News: Piper named acting superintendent of schools
Tommy Piper, currently an assistant superintendent of Franklin County Schools, will serve as acting superintendent of county schools while the board of education seeks an interim superintendent to run the district for an estimated six months following the abrupt retirement resignation of Dr. Eddie Ingram this week.
Dr. Ingram is expected to take the position of superintendent of Darlington County Schools in mid July after he was selected for that post by the Darlington school board Monday night. In preparation for taking that position, he retired in North Carolina after a career spanning more than 30 years.
