LOUISBURG – George Everet Phelps, 89, died Friday evening, Aug. 23, 2013 at his home.  A funeral service was held Monday, Aug. 26, at Maple Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Havens and the Rev. Charles Summerlin officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
