Breaking News: Concealing death charges face buried baby’s mother

LOUISBURG — Authorities charged a teenaged girl with concealing the death of her baby.
Ashley Marie Reed, 16, surrendered herself to authorities before noon on Tuesday.
Authorities allege Reed concealed the birth of an 8.5-pound baby girl on June 29.
The baby was found buried in the backyard of her Fox Ridge Farms Subdivision home.

JULIUS W. WHEELER

FRANKLINTON - Julius Winston Wheeler, 89, of Franklinton, died Sunday, July 20, 2014. He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late David and Zelma Wheeler and was a veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII. Mr. Wheeler was retired from CP&L as a printing department supervisor after 36 years of service and was a member of Millbrook Lodge #97 A.F. & A.M and a member of the Wake County Shrine Club.
