DANIEL L. GERMAN (Jan. 20, 1956 - July 12, 2006)
Mr. Daniel Leland German, age 50, went home to meet his Lord on Wednesday.

He was born in Champagne IL on January 20, 1956, son of the late Donald E. German and Pansy (Leonard) German. Dan served his country in the US Army toward the end of the Vietnam Era. He married Lori IIassenger, September 1, 1984. Dan was employed by IBM in manufacturing until he became disabled in 1999. He grew up in Manassas, Virginia and lived a short while in Henderson, NC. He lived his last 14 years in Vermont. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, had a passion for history and science fiction, working on computers and a love for his 9 cats and dog. Danny was a very loving son, brother, husband and father. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. He is now at peace.

Danny is survived by his wife Lori; his four children, Amanda, Daniel, David and Rochelle German; his sisters and brother, Donna Hull of Virginia Beach, VA, Cecile German Giancaterino and her husband Larry of Richmond, VA, Paul German and his wife Jane of Silver Springs, MD, and Patricia German-Kidwell and her husband Russell of Manassas, VA; and one niece and four nephews.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service. Funeral will be 12 p.m. Thursday at Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. or the Boy Scouts of America, Green Mountain Council #592, Waterbury, VT 05676 for the upkeep of Mount Norris Scout Reservation.
