LINDA K. GRIFFIN
February 6, 1943 – August 25, 2009
LOUISBURG – Linda Knott Griffin, 66, of Louisburg, died Tuesday morning surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was a daughter of the late Alton Glen and Mildred Sledge Knott and was preceded in death by her husband, Larry H. Griffin; sister, Joyce K. Weathers; and brothers, John A. Knott and Phillip Knott. She was a member of Louisburg Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Louisburg Baptist Church with Dr. Reggie Rushing officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Tomlinson Room of Louisburg Baptist Church and other times at the home of Mark and Tracey Griffin, 199 Fishing Rock Road, Castalia.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Kay G. Daniels and husband Ralph Daniels of Clayton; sons, Alton Griffin, Mark Griffin and wife Tracey Griffin of Castalia; sisters-in-law, Karen Stotesbury of Bellhaven and Elaine Knott of Louisburg; brother, Ralph Knott and wife Polly Knott of Louisburg; brother-in-law, Jimmy Weathers of Louisburg; grandchildren, Meri Ashlen, Brittany, Hailee and Chandler, Janna, Linzey and Griffin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may made to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park, Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615.

The family would like to thank the staff of Louisburg Nursing Center for all their care and support for Linda.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg.
