MARY A. “TEENY” MANNING
NASHVILLE - Mary Ayscue “Teeny” Manning, 83, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010 at Autumn Care of Nashville. Funeral service was Tuesday, March 2, in the chapel of Castalia Baptist Church, with the Rev. Chris Carroll and the Rev. Jason Gault officiating. Burial followed in the Centerville Baptist Church cemetery, Centerville.

She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of Jim and Bessie Wrenn Ayscue. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Manning; sisters, Louise Gopel and Ore Lee Williams; brothers, Percy Ayscue, Hurley Ayscue, Jack Ayscue, John Ayscue and Perry Ayscue. Along with her husband and family, she owned and operated Manning’s Service Station and Grocery for more than 50 years. She was a long-time member of Castalia Baptist Church.

Surviving: son, Mike Manning (Sandra) of Nashville; sisters, Edna Baker and Myrna Neal, both of Louisburg and Judy Hicks of High Point; brother, Billy Ayscue of Louisburg; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to The Castalia Baptist Church Building Fund of Castalia.
