RALEIGH - Lee R. Womack Jr., 64, died Thursday, March 11, 2010. Services will be held at a later date.
He was born in Lee County and resided in Raleigh most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a former Raleigh police officer, and a former N.C. State Trooper.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Womack Sr.
Surviving: mother, Maxine Womack of Raleigh; daughter, Michele Willett (Ron) of Sanford; son, Lee Womack III of Louisburg; son, Ryan Lee Womack of Lexington; brother, Jerry Womack of Raleigh; sister, Julia Murray (Milton) of Middlesex; and three grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park, Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615.
