DOROTHY C. NICOLAI
November 17, 1923 – January 13, 2011
BUNN – Dorothy Cornelia Winstead Nicolai, 87, of Bunn, died Thursday morning.

Dorothy was a daughter of the late Carroll Reid and Maggie Cornelia Hayes Winstead. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald B. Nicolai; sister, Nancy W. Tant; brothers, John Allen Winstead and Reid Winstead.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Bunn Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately after the service.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and William Knight of Rocky Mount; grandson, Brian Popp of Baltimore, MD; sister, Pattie W. Pennewell of Wilson; brothers, Lelon “Chick” Winstead of Bunn, W.L. “Bill” Winstead of Louisburg, Jesse Winstead of Conover.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg.
