BERNICE D. CARROLL
ZEBULON - Bernice Dwain Carroll, 63, of the Pilot Community, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 at Wake Med. A memorial service was held Thursday, Feb. 3, at East Wake Church of God, Highway 97, Wendell, with Pastor Tim Hopkins officiating.

He was born in Johnston County to the late James William Carroll and Ruth Davis Carroll.

Surviving: children,         Amanda Carroll, Alex Carroll and Yancey Carroll; brothers, Tennie Carroll and Braxton Carroll, both of Zebulon, and Daniel Carroll of South Carolina; sisters, Savonne Horne of Zebulon, Patricia Schilling of Wendell, Katie Cooke of Maryland and Betty Bunn of Knightdale; and four grandchildren.          

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Russell and Freddie Carroll.

In lieu of flowers, donations are accepted and can be made Thursday night at the church.
