LOIS W. EDWARDS
FRANKLINTON - Lois Wheeler Edwards, 79, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Rex Hospital. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, June 25) in the chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Franklinton, with the Rev. Carl Hunter officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service.

A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Clifton Wheeler and Daisy Cash Wheeler. She was a 1952 graduate of Franklinton High School, a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, and retired from Westinghouse (ABB).

Surviving: husband, Leo Edwards; sons, Kevin Tyke Edwards (Donna) of Durham, Toby McCray Edwards (Kim) of Youngsville; daughters, Donna Grey E. Webb (Joel) of Youngsville, Robyn B. Edwards of Franklinton; sister, Mae Cooper of Pinehurst; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Flowers are appreciated, or memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Attn: Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
