JAMES E. O’NEAL, SR.
ZEBULON – James Ell O’Neal, Sr., 77, of the Pilot community, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell.  Visitation will be from 1:30-2:50 p.m. prior to the service. 

A native of Johnston County, he was son to the late Ell & Zola Mae Lynch O’Neal.  He served during the Korean War in the 11th  Airborne.  He was a paramedic.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy O’Neal Jr.

Surviving: children, Patrick O’Neal (Jane) and Sandy Bays, both of Zebulon, siblings, Charles Patrick Bennett of Traveler’s Rest, S.C., Linda Schneider of W. Palm Beach, Fla., Pamela Leigh Plechette of Charleston, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
