“MAMA JANE” JANE F. PEARCE
April 19, 1931 – March 24, 2013
LOUISBURG – Jane Foster Pearce, 81, of Louisburg, passed away Sunday morning at her home.

Jane was a daughter of the late Samuel and Mamie Breedlove Foster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Urban Lynn Pearce; son, Michael H. Pearce; sisters, Lucille Bobbitt and Dorothy “Dot” Dement; brothers, Hubert Foster and Joe Foster.

A funeral service was held 3 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Dustin Mace and Chaplain Allen Murphy officiating. Burial followed in Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mama Jane is survived by her daughter, Lisa P. Daley and friend, Scott Debnam; sons and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Cindy Pearce; Brantley Pearce, all of Louisburg; brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Ouida Foster of Warrenton; grandchildren, Amy P. Wood; Joshua P. Daley; Brandon Allen and wife Melanie; great-grandchildren, McKayla and Madeline Wood, Alexus and Scarlett Allen; many nieces and nephews.

The family received friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Monday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
