BOBBY GENE BRAGG
FRANKLINTON—Bobby Gene Bragg, 77, of Franklinton, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at his home. He was born in Granville County to the late Owen Vann Bragg and Ruby Hight Bragg. He was a cook with the United States Army and was a member of the Franklinton American Legion Post 52. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

A memorial service was held at 2 o’clock, Friday afternoon, April 5, 2013 at Pope’s Chapel United Church of Christ, Franklinton.

Mr. Bragg is survived by his wife of 58 years, Louise Grissom Bragg; children, Roxanne Bragg of Chapel Hill, Phyllis Bragg Averett & husband Bob of Rougemont, and Vann Bragg & wife Jamie of Franklinton; grandchildren, Lynn Pendleton of Louisburg, Kevin Cash of Louisburg, Mary Lou Bragg of Franklinton and David Bragg of Franklinton; great-grandchild, Joey Pendleton of Louisburg; siblings, Dianne Johnson & husband Richard of Creedmoor and Lisa Wheeler of Creedmoor. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Elbert Bragg, Dennis Bragg and Taylor Bragg.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to the Franklinton Senior Center, Coffee Club and Saturday Morning Breakfast Club, c/o Rev. Don Ward, 205 Glenn Street, Franklinton, NC 27525.

Friends visited with the family from 7-9 Thursday evening, April 4, 2013 at Franklinton Saddle Club, Pocomoke Arena, 4083 Hugh Davis Road, Youngsville, NC 27596.
