LOTTIE M. HARPER
November 17, 1920 – July 3, 2013
YOUNGSVILLE – Lottie Murphy Harper, 92, of Youngsville, died Wednesday evening.

Mrs. Harper was a daughter of the late Robert Hoke and Annie Bell Cooke Murphy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Harper; three sisters and three brothers.

Mrs. Harper was born in Louisburg and was a long- time resident of Youngsville. She retired from Burlington Industries in Wake Forest in 1985.

A funeral service was held 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles D. Stratton, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Harper is survived by her son, Robert D. Harper, Sr. of Thomasville; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Dan Smith of Durham; sister, Doris Aycock of Louisburg; grandchildren, Robert D. Harper, Jr. and wife, Robin; Travis Harper and wife, Lisa; David Smith; Jennifer Smith; 4 great-grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Youngsville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 297, Youngsville, NC 27596 or the charity of one’s choice.
