MADGE Y. JOHNSON
YOUNGSVILLE —Madge Yarborough Johnson, 99, died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Hillside Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday July 24, at Harris Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Bill Haley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: sons, Danny Johnson (Carolyn) of Youngsville and Brooks Johnson (Alice) of Youngsville; daughters, Myrna Raybon of Knightdale and Sue Floyd( Charles) of Louisburg; brothers, John Yarborough of Sanford and James Yarborough of Fuquay-Varina; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel A. Johnson; her parents, Archie Murphy Yarborough and Rowena Elizabeth Yarborough; and by three brothers and two sisters.

She was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church, and even in her last years when she was unable to attend, she made it a priority to follow the Church’s activities and members.

Prior to retirement, many years ago, she was employed by the Franklin County Public School System at the Bunn High School cafeteria.

Memorial contributions be made to Harris Chapel Baptist Church or to a charity of one’s choice or flowers.
