SARAH “BET” ALFORD
Feb. 26, 1924 – Jan. 18, 2014
BUNN – Sarah Elizabeth “Bet” Alford, 89, of Alford Mill Rd., died Saturday night.  She was born in Franklin County, daughter of the late Walter Bobbitt Wester and Myrtle Place Wester. Mrs. Alford was a homemaker and retired from Bunn Elementary School as cafeteria manager.  Her family was the love of her life.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marget Alford; sister, Hollie Lee Braswell; and brother, James Walter Wester.

Funeral service was held 3 pm Monday, January 20, 2014 at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial was in the Bunn Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Janet Alford, Larry and Pam Alford, Garry and Jill Alford, all of Bunn; sister-in-law, Polly Wester of Raleigh; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family received friends 1:30 – 3:00 pm Monday prior to the service.
