LOUISBURG - William Archibald “Billy” Foster, 74, of Louisburg died Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the Hock Family Pavilion. Billy was born on June 10, 1939 to the late John Luther and Mattie Murphy Foster. Billy was the youngest boy of 13 children.  Mr. Foster was a PFC in the US Army, serving in Germany from 1960-1962.  Billy was a member and deacon of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, he loved farming, and could fix just about anything 

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn House Foster; his son Mike Foster; his daughters, Deborah Moore (Tommy) and Anita Craddock;  four grandchildren, Ashley McNeace, Josh Foster, Steven Burnette, and Sarah Burnette; a brother, Wilton Foster of Durham; as well as four sisters, Rachel Denton of Durham, Lucy Denton, Lois King, both of Louisburg, and Linda Rich of Castalia also survive. 

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church with burial following in the Foster Family Cemetery. The family received friends Monday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
