LORENE M. ALLEN

LOUISBURG - Lorene Mills Allen, 71, of Louisburg, died Saturday, July 5, 2014, at her home. Born June 3, 1943 to the late Edward “Buddy” and Avis Gilliam Mills. Lorene loved her family and enjoyed working with her ceramics and loved all kinds of arts and crafts. She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Jay Allen; her brothers, James, Reginald and Joe Mills.

Graveside services were held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Allen Family Cemetery. Memorial service was held Monday at 6:00 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, with the Rev. James Rudd officiating. The family received friends immediately following the service.

She is survived by her loving husband, Caleb Allen, Jr.; her daughter, Donna Aycock and her husband, Ricky; her son, Caleb Allen IV and his wife, Lee Ann; seven grandchildren, Renea Wilkerson, Kassie Allen, Charles Aycock, Kelsey Aycock, Caleb Allen V, Isaac Allen and Jayden Allen; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Braxton Wilkerson; her two sisters, Ruby Baker and her husband, Ben, Gertrude Hill and her husband, Ronald.
