WAKE FOREST- Albert Taylor Moore, 62, died Tuesday, Dec, 16, 2014 at Transitions LifeCare, Raleigh, NC. He was affectionately known as "T" by his wife and "Taylor" by his many friends. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, at the American Legion Post in Franklinton, located at 40 American Legion Road.

Taylor was born in Oxford, the son of the late Herman Taylor Moore and Cecile Joyce Crowder.

He served in the US Marine Corps from Oct 1970 until Nov 1973, achieving the rank of Lance Corporal. His Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) was 2511 - Wireman.

He later attended Durham Tech Community College and received a certificate as an Electrical Apprentice I, and he also studied Industrial Engineering at Wake Tech Community College. He worked at many jobs and locations over the years, mostly as an electrician.

Surviving: wife, Velinda Lee Moore; daughter, from his first marriage, Rebecca Michele Moore of Arizona; sister, Joyce Ann Hall (Roger) of Rougemont; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Donations may be made in his name to any of the following: Air, Land, NC Detachment 1257, Marine Corps League, P.O. Box 1081, Wake Forest, NC 27588-1081; American Legion Post 52, P.O. Box 61, Franklinton, NC 27525; or, Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
