GILBERT W. MURRAY
WAKE FOREST - Gilbert Wayne Murray, 65, died Monday, March 26, 2007 at Duke Health Raleigh Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, March 30, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sam Gore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Murray was a retired superintendent with Ashland Construction after 22 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Eckard Murray, and his wife, Cathy O’Brien Murray.

Surviving: his wife, Lee Murray; daughters, Amanda Gayle (Brandon) of Franklinton, Lori Ray (Darin) of Wake Forest, and Lynn McIntire of Union, N.H.; sons, Wade Murray (Nancy) of Kenly, Brian Murray of Raleigh, Stephen McIntire (Marion) of Milton, N.H.; his mother, Nola R. Murray of Wake Forest; brother, Danny Murray (Ruth) of Wake Forest; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 2817 Durham Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Friends may visit with the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest.
