JERRY L. RIGGAN
January 15, 1954 - November 23, 2016

LOUISBURG - Jerry Lee Riggan, 62, of Louisburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at his home. He was born on January 15, 1954, in Portsmouth, Virginia, the son of William H. Riggan, Jr. of Warren County, NC and Earis Marie Coppedge of Franklin County, NC. He was a preceded in death by his father and an infant brother, Robert Jackson Riggan.

He is survived by his mother, Marie Riggan of the home, and stepmother, Dorothy N. Riggan of Chesterfield, VA, along with a brother, Bill Riggan and Vickie; sisters, Mary Lovin and Mike of Bunn, and Patricia Riggan of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

He is also survived by his three sons, Davin Riggan and Lisa of Raleigh; Jerry "Boogie" Riggan, Jr. of Statesville and Daniel Riggan and Kelly of Roxboro; three grandchildren, Breanna, Jackson and Alex, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 7 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg. There will be a private memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
