FRANKLINTON - James Franklin Burchette, 78, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2016 at his home. The family will receive friends Saturday, Dec. 3, at 1:15 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church in Franklinton, where a memorial service will follow at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Bradley Johnson and the Rev. David Averette officiating.

He was born to the late James I. and Sidney Thompson Burchette.

Surviving: wife, Alice Frazier Burchette; daughters, Donna Greear, Susan McKain (Tedd), and Jamie Burchette; brothers, David Burchette (Barbara), Ronald Burchette (Ruby), Carey Burchette (Carol); sisters, JoAnn Ivey, Joyce Davis (Larry), and Debra Sayer (Bobby); one grandson; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.
