BUNN - Clyde Dennis Beal, 64, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016. A funeral service was held Monday, Dec. 5, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, with Alex Cleghorn officiating. Burial with U.S. Navy honors followed at Southeastern Baptist Seminary cemetery, Wake Forest.

He was born in Windber, Pa. He retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service as a Chief Petty Officer in the Submarine Force. He also retired from Southeastern Baptist Seminary in April 2014 after 19 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Hlobik Beal, and his parents, Emerson Beal Sr. and Alwilda Beal.

Surviving: daughter, Jeanette Bottorff (Charles) of Windber, Pa.; stepdaughter, Gina Hlobik of Provincetown, Mass.; brothers Emerson "Buzz" Beal Jr. (Lois) of Nashville and Cecil Beal (Sue Ann) of Altoona, Pa.; three grandchildren.; and a number nieces and nephews.
