HENDERSON - Durward Macon Foster, 86, passed away very peacefully Sunday night, December 11, with his family by his side. He had a wonderful life. Born in 1930 to Tollie and Olive Newman Foster on a farm in Franklin County, he went on to join the Air Force and retired with a great career from NASA.
He is survived by a brother, Alton (Sandra) Foster of Franklin County; a sister, Martha Lou (Kenneth) Harper of Elon, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred (Annie Margaret) Foster of Virginia.
Arrangements are made by Flowers Funeral Home, and the service will be held at 2:30 Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Liberty Vance Church in Epsom.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity or cause.
