"RICK" RICHARD A. RIDER
August 31, 1954 - December 16, 2016

FRANKLINTON - Richard "Rick" Allen Rider, 62, of Franklinton, passed away Friday morning at his home.

Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie Shadix, and son-in-law, Wesley Hunt.

Rick was a retired brick mason. He and his family moved from Shawnee, Oklahoma to North Carolina in 1986.

A private memorial service will be held for the family. The family will receive friends 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hickory Rock Baptist Church.

Rick is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Lynda Rider; daughter, Shannon Hunt; son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Stephanie Rider; grandchildren, Codi and Jake Hunt; James and Emily Rider, all of Louisburg; father, Charles Rider of OK; sisters, Kim Goodman (Staci) of IL; Nancy Harclerode of OK; brothers, Jerry Rider (Missy) of OK; Milton Rider of NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lynda Rider, 252 Camping Creek Rd., Franklinton, NC 27525.
