TEMPIE LOUISE ALSTON KEARNEY

Tempie Louise Alston Kearney, was born in Franklin County North Carolina on August 11, 1928 to the late Jonas Alston and Celia Yarborough Alston. She died Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the home.

Kearney was preceded in death by her husband, Junious Kearney, a son, Jeffery L. Kearney, and brothers, Napoleon, Wayland, and Thomas Alston.

Surviving: two daughters, Gloria Kearney of the home and Tammie K. Hilliard (Alex) of Louisburg, NC; daughter-in-law, Linda L. Kearney of Franklinton, NC; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, William (Bill) Kearney (Jackie) of Richmond, VA; sisters-in-law, Corina Johnson, Flora Mae Greene, Cornelius (Tot) Alston, and Cammie Kearney all of Franklinton, NC, and Marie Perry of Washington, DC; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and multiple close friends.

Funeral service was Saturday, April 15 at First Baptist Church, Franklinton. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery, Franklinton.

Arrangements were provided by Cutchins Family Mortuary & Cremations.
