YOUNGSVILLE - John Robert Collins, 56, died Sunday, April 23, 2017. He was born November 11, 1960 in Alamance County to Robert Lee Collins and Agnes Frances Moore Collins.
John was a US Air Force veteran and worked as the environmental and security custodian at Flat Rock Baptist Church. He was a member of the Franklinton American Legion Post #52.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Flat Rock Baptist Church, 1529 Flat Rock Church Rd, Louisburg. Rev. Gary McNair will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
John was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Collins.
Surviving are: his wife, of 10 years, Christina Lynn Collins of Youngsville; two sons, William and Chris Collins of Youngsville; mother, Frances Collins of Mebane; sister, Carolyn Fuqua of Burlington; several nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made to Flat Rock Baptist Church Building Fund.
