FRANKLINTON--Louis Anthony "Tony" Dorsey, 70, died Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Duke Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 23, at Franklinton Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Averette officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery.
He was born Jan. 31, 1947, in Vance County, to the late Louis Beam Dorsey and Ruth Wester Dorsey. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Dale Dorsey, as well as his parents.
Surviving: his wife, Debbie Dorsey; daughter, Tanya Dorsey (Anthony); sisters, Barbara Vaughan, Deborah Odonohue (Tom), and Chris Bonvillian (Tracy); five grandchildren; and many special cousins.
