JIMMIE ALLEN KEARNEY SR.

FRANKLINTON--Jimmie Allen Kearney Sr., 80, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 1245 Mt. Olivet Church Road, Franklinton, with the Rev. Carl Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born to the late Carl Morton and Mary Moss Kearney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Kearney; daughter, Becky Ann Moore; and son, Jay Moore.

Surviving: his sons, Jimmie Allen Kearney Jr. (Debra), Ricky Morton Kearney, and Ronnie Kearney (Kandy Dwedari); and daughter, Elizabeth Ray (Lane); brothers, Carl "Creeper" Kearney Jr., Bebo Kearney (Libby); and sisters; Camilla "Dink" Pearce, Judene Day and Betty Gooch; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 124 Mt. Olivet Church Road, Franklinton, NC 27525.
