BROOKS WRIGHT JOHNSON

YOUNGSVILLE--Brooks Wright Johnson, 81, loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend that will be missed, "a true man of his word," passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Daniel and Madge Yarborough Johnson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, November 22, 2017, in the Harris Chapel Baptist Church, with Dr. Bill Haley and the Rev. Brian Kohout officiating.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Alice Murphy Johnson; daughters, Ellen Jackson and husband Doug of Grifton, Jennifer Watson and husband Michael of Apex; grandchildren, Emmy and Harrison Watson; sisters, Myrna Raybon of Knightdale, Sue Floyd and husband Charles of Louisburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Harris Chapel Baptist Church General Fund, 2960 Tarboro Road, Youngsville, NC 27596.

Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service in the church fellowship building.
