BESSIE G. FOSTER

HENDERSON- Mrs. Bessie Mae Goodson Foster, 92, a resident of 261 Tollie Weldon Road, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, leaving behind family and friends with cherished memories. Born in Franklin County on August 30, 1925, she was the daughter of the late James Claude Goodson and Mattie Burnette Goodson and was the widow of Robert Warren Foster. She was a lifetime member of New Bethel Baptist Church where funeral services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11 am by Rev. Jonathan Owens. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Kaye Foster Garbett and husband, Stanley of Louisburg and Debbie Foster Pace and husband, C. J. of Ocala, FL; two sons, Raymond W. Foster and wife, Sue of Louisburg and Donald " Donnie" Foster and wife, Wanda of Louisburg; ten grandchildren; eleven great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The family would like to thank her caregiver, Maxine Coppedge, for her loving and compassionate care.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Thomas Goodson, and grandson, Jason Foster.

The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 until 8 pm at J.M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home at 261 Tollie Weldon Road.
Serving as pallbearers will be Leland Clayton, Billy Fuller, Jimmy Goodson, Talmadge Goodson, Andy Hayes, Randy Hayes, Todd Owens, and Sidrick Roberson.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to New Bethel Baptist Church, c/o Debra Woodlief, 1238 New Bethel Church Road, Henderson, NC 27537.

Arrangements are by J.M. White Funeral Home.
