M. DURAND BALL

SNOW HILL--Maurice Durand Ball, 56, of Snow Hill, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. He was born in Louisburg, NC on May 10, 1961 and was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Thomas; his mother, Cora Harper Ball, and his brother, Thomas Glenn Ball.

A private Graveside service for family and friends was held Sunday, January 7, at 11:00 a.m. at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Durand is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Gwen and Raymond Smith of Snow Hill; nephew, Emery Smith, his wife Sonya and their children, Logan and Emerson, all of Greenville, NC; nephew, Evan Smith, his wife Jessica and their son, Paxton, all of Garner, NC; niece Naomi Ball, her husband Janos Kovacs and their children, Liam and Kingston, all of Wake Forest, NC; sister-in-law, BJ Goswick and Joe Medlin of Louisburg, NC; best friends, Julie Weathers of Youngsville, NC; Erin Batchelder of Chicago, IL,and Kathy Kelly from Chicago, IL.
