GOLDSBORO, NC - SGM (Ret) James Franklin Bell III, was born June 24, 1965, to Betty Jean Bell and the late James Bell in Goldsboro, NC. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Vanessa; daughter, Nikita; grandson, James Franklin Bell V; mother, Betty Jean Bell of Dudley, NC; father and mother-in-law, Fred and Betty Lawrence of Franklinton, NC; sisters, Pamala Jones (Keith) of Pikeville, NC, Deania Samuels (Ronnie) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Antoinette Bass of Dudley, NC; sisters-in-law, Gloria Lawrence and Sharon Spivey (Alfred), both of Franklinton, NC, and Samantha Holding (Paul) of Creedmoor, NC; aunts, Gertha Dean Bell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Brenda Duru (Clement) of Miami, FL, JoAnne Brown of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Brenda Neeley (Gary) of Clarksville, TN, Sandra Dixon, Jackie Dailey (Walter) and Bridgette Carter (Clifton), all of Dayton, OH; uncles, Morris L. Bell (Rosanna) of West Palm Beach, FL, Henry Bell (Flo Ann) of Lake Worth, FL, Larry Bell of Canoga Park, CA, George Austin (Wendy) of Dudley, England, Ruben Gooch (Ann), Queensland, Australia and Ricky Gooch (Denise) of Dayton, OH.

Frankie loved all of his uncles very much but shared a special relationship with his Uncle Morris. He was loved and admired by his nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of family and friends.

Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Fort Lee Memorial Chapel, 10600 Sisisky Ave., Fort Lee, VA, Interment at Arlington National Cemetery.
