ZEBULON - Rex David Carter, 82, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Nov. 24) at Strickland Funeral Home in Wendell. Interment will be at the Murray family cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.

Carter was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 46 years.

Surviving: his wife, Verda M. Carter; two sisters, Cleo Wrenn of Zebulon and Bessie Batchelor of Raleigh.
