JAMES M. JONES
ZEBULON - James Monroe Jones, 82, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007 at WakeMed. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, with Masonic Rites, at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 809 W. Gannon Ave., Zebulon.

He was a long-time resident of Wake County. As a youth during World War II, he worked on warships at the port of Wilmington. As an adult he worked for the N.C. Department of Correction and managed the print shop at Central Prison for Prison Industries.

In recent years Mr. Jones lived at Carolina House in Wake Forest.

Surviving: his adopted family of Eric, Jamie, Carrie and Eric “Bubba” Larsen, and other extended family members.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 11 a.m. to noon at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, prior to the service.

Gifts in memorium may be sent to Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church, 4525 Hopkins Chapel Road, Zebulon, NC 27597 or to the Wake County SPCA, 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603.
