TANYA H. CRUTCHER
LENOIR - Tanya Dean Hamm Crutcher, age 47, a resident of 2897 Blue Creek Road, died Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at her home. Born in Vance County on June 4, 1960, she was the daughter of Mary Pearce Hamm Swanson of Louisburg and the late Dewey Hamm, Sr. Mrs. Crutcher loved her animals. She was a retired Respiratory Therapist at Rex Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Wes Bailey. Burial will follow in the Liberty Christian Church Cemetery in Epsom.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. Crutcher, M.D. of Lenoir; her stepfather, Robert Lee Swanson of Louisburg; one brother, Dewey Hamm, Jr. of Henderson; two aunts, Sarah Hamm and Alice Newton and husband, Johnny of Henderson; her uncle, Bobby Hamm of Henderson; three cousins, Rene Sams, Deborah Murphy, and Rita Smith, all of Henderson; her father-in-law, Dr. James C. Crutcher of Atlanta, Georgia; her mother-in-law, Edith Crutcher of Roswell, Georgia; her sisters-in-law, Carole Hauert of Powder Springs, Georgia, and Debbie Darugar and husband, Barry of Eatonton, Georgia; and her brother-in-law, Bruce Crutcher, and his wife, Helena of Huntsville, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charlie S. Pearce and Lydia Pope Pearce; and her paternal grandparents, Dewey Harpson Hamm and Ruth Lassiter Hamm Harris.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 1:45 PM at the J. M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of her mother and stepfather, Mary and Robert Swanson, at 1699 White Level Road, Louisburg.

Serving as active pall bearers will be James Smith, Britt Sams, Kevin Murphy, Steven Southerland, Dean Abbott, and Hillman Floyd.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA Special Giving, c/o Linda Tiramani, 110 5th Avenue, 2nd Floor, New York, New York 10011.

Arrangements are by the J. M. White Funeral Home of Henderson.
