JAMES C. DENTON
ZEBULON - James Coleman Denton, 83, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008. Funeral was Sunday, Sept. 28, at Strickland Funeral Home in Wendell.

A native of Franklin County, he was son to the late William Bervon and Berla Alford Denton.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Willy Gray and Harold Denton.

Surviving: his wife, Nannie Ree Parrish Denton; son, Charles Coleman Denton (Gail) of Zebulon, Ronald W. Denton (Faye) of Bunn, and Ricky Denton (Dolores) of Middlesex; sisters, Kaye Clark of Zebulon and Barbara Strickland of Belhaven; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Flowers or memorials to Hospice of Wake County.
