VERNON MCDONALD CUMMINGS
YOUNGSVILLE - Vernon McDonald Cummings, 69, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008 at his home. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday (today) Oct. 4, 2008 at Mid-Way Baptist Church, in Raleigh.

The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Cummings was born in Wake County to William Hallie and Rosa Lee Stephens Cummings. He was employed with the City of Raleigh as a paint and body specialist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Wade Cummings.

Surviving: his wife, Patsy Langdon Cummings; daughters, Mary I. Monahan of Youngsville, and Ann Frances Templeton (Charlie) of Wendell; sisters, Judy Cummings of East Bend, Debra Cummings Mathias (Dennis) of Galina, OH; four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary’s St., Raleigh NC 27605.
