AMY L. ABBOTT
NORLINA - Amy Lynn Abbott, age 28, a resident of 1105 Axtell-Ridgeway Road, died Saturday, December 6, 2008, at her home. Born in Roberson County on November 1, 1980, she was the daughter of Wanda Ayscue Peoples of Norlina and Michael Earle Abbott, Sr. of Louisburg.

She was a member of Freedom Life Church of God.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Freedom Life Church of God by the Rev. Jeff Prewer and the Rev. J. Dan Hudson. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her stepfather, Jerry Malone Peoples of Norlina; her stepmother, Evelyn Abbott of Louisburg; one sister, Wanda Kay A. Mackubin of Creedmoor; one brother, Michael Earl Abbott, Jr. and wife, Jessica, of Louisburg; and her maternal grandparents, Larry and Vivian Stainback Baker of Oxford. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, David Horace Ayscue; and her paternal grandparents, Floyd and Bertha Abbott.

The family received friends Tuesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home at 1105 Axtell-Ridge Road in Norlina.

Serving as active pall bearers will be Buster Abbott, Rodney Peoples, Mickey Jackson, Donald Pulley, Harvey Harris and John Krohns.

Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
