RALEIGH - Funeral services for William E. Woods, 54, who died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, March 6, at Allen Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dwight Gill officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Geraldine G. Woods of the home; sons, William E. Woods Jr. of Greensboro, Tyler Woods of Raleigh and Christian Woods of the home; father, Eugene Laney of Baltimore, Md.; sisters, Helen Ferguson of Baltimore, Md., and Myrtle Purcell of Raeford; brothers, Malcom Laney of Charlotte and Robert E. Woods of Hampton, Ga.

A memorial tribute will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at Wake Baptist Grove Church in Garner.
