DURHAM - Virginia Burt Munford, 87, died Sunday evening, March 1, 2009 at Rose Manor Healthcare Center. Graveside rites were conducted Friday, March 6, at Woodlawn Memorial Park by the Rev. John Gorsuch.

She was born in Franklin County, daughter of the late Nellie Neville Munford and the late William Munford. She was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

Prior to retirement, she was a bookkeeper for Ingold Tire Company.

Surviving: brother-in-law, Merle Burton of Durham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
