BUNN – Bill Young, 80, died Sunday morning, March 8, 2009. A graveside service was conducted Tuesday, March 10, at Bunn Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Gary Vassar officiating.

He was a son of the late John Wesley and Elizabeth Horton Young. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Baker Young; daughter, Sherri Y. Murtagh; sister, Nadine Y. Pinnell; and brother, Bruce Young.

Surviving: daughters, Joy Boydston, Diane Batchelor and Rhonda Cox, all of Louisburg; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park, Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615.
