LOUISBURG - Agnes Connell Hyman, 80, died Thursday, March 5, 2009. Funeral was Sunday, March 8, at Flat Rock Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gary McNair officiating. Burial followed Sunday afternoon at Oak City Cemetery, with the Rev. Sonny Simpson presiding.

She was born in Martin County, the daughter of the late Lilly Bullock Connell and John Connell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Livingston Earl Hyman.

Surviving: daughter, Barbara Martin (Mike) of Wake Forest; sons, Larry Hyman (Diane) of Zebulon, Ray Hyman (Barbara) of Louisburg; sister, Lula Connell of Williamston; brothers, John Connell Jr. of Williamston, Edward Connell of Jamesville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
