ZEBULON - Christine Duke Hopkins, 92, died at Coventry House on Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Funeral services were Thursday, March 26, at Zebulon Baptist Church. Burial followed in Zebulon Cemetery.

She was the oldest child of Annie Horton and Irvin Duke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie B. Hopkins; brothers, Earl, Harold, Haywood; and sister, Maxine King.

Surviving: daughter, Anne Fishel of Chapel Hill; brother, Mitchell Duke of Wendell; and two grandchildren.
