WAKE FOREST - Aaron B. Smith, 70, died Friday, April 10, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at New Bethel Baptist Church in Rolesville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the church.

He was born to the late Edward Smith and Hallie Watkins Smith of Wake Forest.

Surviving: wife, Mary W. Smith of the home; daughters, Romana Wiggins and Mary Ann Smith, both of Wendell; sons, Barry D. Smith and Aaron Smith Jr., both of Wake Forest, Charles E. Smith of Knightdale and Roderick P. Smith of Raleigh; sisters, Annie Ruth Smith of Randleman and Linda (Eddie) Williams of Roxboro; brothers, Robert Smith of Wilton, Harold Smith of Durham and Jerome (Alice) Smith of Durham; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
