RALEIGH - Mary Freeman Lloyd, 76, died Sunday, March 26, 2006. Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 31, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest. Burial followed in Youngsville Cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Myrtle Cooke Freeman and Lenno Raye Freeman. She was married to L. D. Lloyd who preceded her in death.

Surviving: her daughter, Dale Lloyd Thigpen of Atlantic Beach; sister, Jane Freeman Stainback of Toano, Va.; brothers, Raye Freeman Jr. (Linda) of Windsor, Va., and Howell Freeman (Mary Alice) of Selma; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
